Description: This pair of Louis XV style kingwood veneered banded inlaid and ormolu mounted bombe chests are staement pieces. These are … more This pair of Louis XV style kingwood veneered banded inlaid and ormolu mounted bombe chests are staement pieces. These are beautiful chests that have made the rounds and are from the 1950s. They have Rococo-shaped pulls and acanthus knee mounts with oxidized finish. The chests sit on tall cabriole legs terminating in ormolu sabots. The backs of each have a paper label that reads "ATC Made in Egypt." They present well, but they are in need of a bit of conservancy. The veneer is chipped on one of the legs and on one drawer.
We acquired these without their original marble tops. They would be smashing with new ones.
