Magnificent carved walnut swan on white marble base. Signed "Ridenour 2/81". The swan has a pin that fits into the base allowing the piece to rotate and be viewed from either side (see photos). Created by a master mid-century furniture maker who explored sculpture making later in life. This piece was created in his California studio before he relocated to Prague in 1991. Fabulous lines from all directions, silky smooth surface.
The base is 7" x 7" x 21". The swan is approximately 37" tall. Total weight is approximately 50 lbs.
