Psikhelekedana is a special type of miniature wood carving found in Southern Mozambique. The snake has been made such that it can flex. There is a flexible material at the core of the snake. So, the cut wood pieces can move with respect to other pieces. This particular sculpture is about 20" long and 2" in width.
