These were given out as prizes at carnival games, in the period during World War 2. They are unglazed plaster of Paris that is painted therefore very delicate. The imperfections and the wear are considered acceptable and I believe part of their charm. This one is from a lifelong collector who may have gotten it himself as a child. less
