This is a Great Looking and Very Unusual Antique American Victorian Era Coin Silver Napkin Ring. Circa Mid 1860s to Early 1870s. It is Made in the Style of a Gentleman's Shirt - Coat Sleeve Cuff Complete with the Cuff Button. This is a Completely Hand Made - Bench Made piece of Silver - Would have been made by a Local Town - City Silversmith. The Cuff Button ( Cufflink ) ia Engraved with the Single Monogram "D". It has no maker or no silver mark but it has been professionally tested and is absolutely Guaranteed to be Solid Coin Silver. It is in Very Nice All Original Condition. Displays Nicely. Truly a Very Rare and Unusual Piece.
It has a Substantial Solid Coin Silver Total Weight of 44.12 Grams - 1.418 Troy Ounces.
It Measures Overall Approx. 2 inches Tall x 2 inches Wide - Long.

American Coin Silver has a 90% - 900/1000 Silver Content, and Sterling Silver has a slightly higher 92.5% - 925/1000 Silver Content. Pure Silver is 99.9% Pure - That is to say that it Contains No Other Alloy Metals. Some of Pieces of American Coin Silver items that were produced were marked "Coin" - but it should be Noted that many of the other pieces that were produced during that period Have No Silver Mark At All. Once the Sterling Standard took hold the vast majority of the Silver Pieces that were produced by Numerous American Silver Companies were marked "Sterling".
