The opalescent and iridescent gilded set includes: 11 large dinner plates with scalloped edges, 6 medium plates with scalloped edges, 11 saucers, 6 small plates, and 1 large lidded pot. The undersides are all numbered and marked with the official MZ crest. The crest dates the set to the 1940's. MZ is known for high quality products, but this rare design is really something else! Each piece has a captivating "Mother of Pearl" lustreware finish, accented with gilt gold edges, rims, and handles. The lustreware finish has a pearl / opalescent beauty that cannot be rivaled when sunlight or indoor lighting hits it!
