An ornate heavily carved vintage Italian giltwood mirror. Dating to the mid-20th century, bold, palatial size, finished in luxurious Neo-classical taste, featuring rich, deep red mahogany finish, surmounted by an elaborately shaped crest adorned with highly stylized acanthus leaf and scroll flourish foliate ornamentation in relief, over grand, full length mirror, the sides of the elegant frame having tall fluted columns with intricately detailed Corinthian capitals, flanking the grand, central full length mirror, with upper and lower embellished with deeply carved and gilded classical scrolled acanthus leaf design.
