It has the most beautiful alternating design, rose flower and art deco designs. Never used, it has been sitting in the back of kitchen shelves since approximately the late 1960s. This piece was inherited. It looks more like an art piece than an ashtray, in fact for years we thought it was a candy jar and so we put it in our cupboard after we inherited it, but then never used it. It will add a bit of sparkle or sophistication to any surface on which it is placed. It has a flat bottom to sit securely. It also has an indentation for a cigarette or a cigar. The dimensions are approximately 4 to 4.5 inches round. This piece is pretty heavy. less
