A large eye catching Chinese porcelain black, white and gold ginger jar. Painted with an allover geometric and floral design against a black glaze background. Decorative reserves with white glaze background on the front and back with hand painted scenes in rich enamels depicting black birds perched on delicate flowering branches. Clusters of pink flowers with teal blue leaves decorate the lid and shoulder area.
Condition is very good with only very minor wear to gold and enamels in places.
No hallmarks
Vintage Mid Century. An usual and large ginger jar.
