This stylish English Regency cheese wheel stand dates between 1811-1820 and is handcrafted of walnut with brass lion paw feet. The piece could be used to hold fruits, candies or perhaps as a center piece for the dining table or a console table.
Note the detail wood working, dovetail joinery, overlapping base, thin nuanced inserted lines of parquet type inserts making subtle lines, etc.
Note that there are age cracks in the added base - not in the bowl itself. less
