With timeless appeal, refined colors, and architectural design elements, this hand knotted wool antique Persian Heriz rug can beautifully blend modern, contemporary, and traditional interiors. Taking center stage of the abrashed red field is a concentric octofoil medallion anchored with flaming palmette pendants at either end. A variety of geometric floral motifs surround the medallion in an intricate arrangement composed of stylized florals, serrated leaves, palmettes, rectilinear vinery, buds, and rosettes. Serrated corner spandrels echo the designs within the composition. A Classic samovar turtle scroll border flanked with an inner and outer meander guard band elegantly frame the composition, pulling together colors from throughout into a unified, harmonious design.
