Vintage/Antique Wooden Southern Country Farmhouse Porch Rocker / Settin’ Chair. Double sided splint basketweave seat in near pristine condition. Age is presumed as late 19th or very early 20th century. Item has been restored at some point.
This South Alabama rocking chair is smaller and without arms used by either women or children to sit on the front porch or around kitchen shelling peas. My Great Aunt Tanney had no children and gave it to my mother and she, then to me. It was a good conversation piece and extra seat during parties. less
