Giuseppe Napoli (1929 - 1967) mixed media on paper (collage / watercolor). An integral part of the 1950s - '60s Greenwich Village artist community and New York School, Napoli was an experimental water colorist, sculptor, and painter, adopting both Modernist-Representational and Abstract Expressionist styles.
This work (circa early 1960s) invokes a postmodernist style with a pop art sensibility in relation to form and palette.
Minor 'waves' to the paper from the collage work and slight color bleeding. Additionally, the frame shows wear consistent with age. Overall, fine, vintage condition. less
