Parker Panttila (Brooklyn, New York 1924-2002) pen and watercolor on board.
Surrealist in style, incorporating both macabre and comedic sensibilities.
Along with being a proficient artist in many mediums (outsider sculpture / found object art and drawing), Panttila was also known for making his own frames, each carefully designed and crafted to suit the piece. The frame is original to the work.
Light wear to the frame, as shown, but otherwise in fine condition. We have a second example from this series listed separately.
Artist signed and dated (1958).
