The engravings … more Outstanding pair of 18th century hand-colored shell engravings by Albertus Seba (1665-1736). Plates Tab. LXIX and Tab. LXXIV. The engravings were sold and beautifully framed in 1993 by Arader Galleries. The folios measure approximately 23.5" x 19"; the framed works measure 30" x 35". There is some refraction and shadowing/discoloration in the photos due to lighting conditions. These exceptional gold leafed frames and mats are in excellent condition; the folios are in overall very good condition. What could be a more perfect accept the a chic Coastal Grandma vibe than original 18th century engravings taken directly from the famous "Cabinet of Curiosities" by Sebus.
