Outstanding original 1950 etching by well listed american artist george timothy tobin (1864-1956). Stunning image of a nude woman contemplating with an apple in hand. Image measures 6 3/4 x 5 inches on sheet measuring 8 3/8 x 10 inches. Etching is crisp and clean. Signed, titled and marked *trial print* in pencil below the image. For those not familiar with the artist his biography reads: george was born in weybridge, vermont. He received his training at the arts students league in new york under artist, george de forest brush. Tobin was an illustrator, etcher, painter and teacher. As a member of the new rochelle art association, he showed in new rochelle from 1915 through 1946. He retired to albans, vermont.
