The shade is constructed of molded and frosted glass in the form of a floral and fruit bouquet and supported by a nickel-plated bronze base.

It was made by the French Art Deco glass house of Genet et Michon, who collaborated with designers like Jacques-Emile Ruhlmann and Paul Follot and were competitors of Lalique. The company was particularly well known for their exceptionally high quality lighting.

Marked to the base of the shade in raised letters GENET ET MICHON and MADE IN FRANCE.
