The painting depicts part of an area of a village nestled in a valley between mountains. The focal point of the painting is the magnificent tree, a Flamboyant tree in full bloom. Under which rests small wooden houses surrounded by fences with ladies passing by, umbrellas up!
Palm trees and other trees in the background of this atmospheric painting - on a rainy day..
Possibly a scene from Puerto Rico where he also lived and worked.
Signed by the artist lower right and only the art work, the painting itself, is mounted behind glass in the original carved and giltwood frame. A lovely painting when seen in person - it will not disappoint.
