Description: Simply beautiful.... this sculpture, etched with a "1" on the back of the wing just above where it meets the … more Simply beautiful.... this sculpture, etched with a "1" on the back of the wing just above where it meets the wood base, bears all the hallmarks of a Hattakitkosol Somchai piece, but is not signed or marked as his. Those familiar with his work will see similarities in the "crease" of the wing, the connection to the base and the subject matter, as well as material.
The brass has been lightly cleaned and polished recently, My opinion is that this is a one-off piece, but I cannot present this as anything other than my own opinion.
The bird turns in its base, and can become top-heavy and turn over in certain positions.
