Take a peek at this intricately woven bowl basket. Perfectly sized to serve as a beautiful complementary partner to other baskets you may display as wall art or to serve as a stylish catchall basket on any tabletop. Handwoven from rattan done in an over under wicker weave with a braided base and upper lip, it’s topped by a bent triple bamboo collar and lacquer finish. It hails from the mid to late mid-century (late 1960s/early 1970s). In pristine condition no visible use wear; taut weave with solid craftsmanship! Makers mark is underneath in the center but difficult to make out; probably made in China but unable to confirm this. It measures 7½” x 4½” x 3” top diameter/base diameter/height; weight 2 oz.; color is naturally aged rattan and bamboo.
