A fine engraving on handmade paper, a portrait of Wilhelmus IV by J. A. Zimermann after a painting by Boehm. Loosely mounted in a matting board.
William IV (German: Wilhelm IV; 13 November 1493 – 7 March 1550) was Duke of Bavaria from 1508 to 1550, until 1545 together with his younger brother Louis X, Duke of Bavaria. He was born in Munich to Albert IV and Kunigunde of Austria, a daughter of Emperor Frederick lll.
Signed at lower edge in the plate.
Condition is very good for age which is 18th Century.

Dimensions: 11" x 7 1/4". With matting 15 1/2" x 11 1/2". Paper size is 15" x 11".
