Chinese porcelain Wucai dragon meiping, a five colors, plum shaped vase, with a removable cover, a white glazed exterior and … Read more Chinese porcelain Wucai dragon meiping, a five colors, plum shaped vase, with a removable cover, a white glazed exterior and interior, and an unglazed base. The removable cover is topped with a rearing horse finial decorated with gold highlights with a band of red iron, Ru Yi lappets below. Eight, large, red iron cartouches of Taoist symbols band the neck. On the body a finely carved, polychrome, three clawed dragon chases the pearl of wisdom amid polychrome stylized clouds and Taoist flames, all in low relief. An ornate, red iron, floral band and larger border of Ru Yi lappets circle the foot, matching the design of the cap. Circa early Republic of China era, no later than mid century. See less
