Signed, limited Edition print of Yellow Komorner Tumbler Pigeon by Brendan Burden. The Komorner Tumbler is a small ornamental breed named after the Austrian town of Komárno where it originated in the 1800's. This breed is prized for its beautiful crest of feathers and colour varieties.
This work is part of Brendan Burden's Fancy Pigeons series. This series explores the unexpected and often under-appreciated beauty of the lowly pigeon. Through the use of formal portrait techniques, the pigeon is presented with an esteem normally reserved for less humble subjects. This unconventional contrast provides a new perspective on something many people see every day and give little consideration to.
*Signed limited edition of 15 printed on Moab fine art matte paper with archival inks. Print comes with certificate of authenticity and is signed and numbered in verso.
