20Th Century, Art Deco', teapot signed "Galvani" - Pordenone - Italy - Worked with airbrush. The "Galvani" ceramic factory in Pordenone was founded in 1811 by Giuseppe Galvani. In 1939 the direction of the manufacture passed to Pino Galvani who maintained the decorative themes of the twentieth century, typical of the manufacture, until the mid-1940s. The object is signed on the base, with a stylized rooster, and under the inscription Galvani. As shown in the photo, this brand is the one used in the 1925-1938 period, Art Deco' period. We are therefore talking about a teapot belonging to the first and most important artistic ceramic productions of Galvani, when Angelo Simonetto, one of the leading exponents of this important Italian manufacture, was its artistic director, which increases it.
In 1942 "Galvani" is present at the Venice Biennale. less
