Description: Rare Southeast Asian bronze rain drum table or frog drum that could serve as a drinks table. The bronze drum … more Rare Southeast Asian bronze rain drum table or frog drum that could serve as a drinks table. The bronze drum has a tapered form and is typically from Eastern Burma or Myanmar made by the tribes of the Karen people. Used in some Asian cultures to summon rain. The drum has handles on each side for hanging. The top and sides are decorated with concentric circles with the top being centered by a star motif in the middle. The flat top has four stacks of little frogs decorating the border. The table is heavy with a rich patinated finish on the bronze with verdigris.
