Paneled in rows of floral designs around the body and with an Egyptian-influenced border around the foot. Marked to the base 1926 but taken in form from 1885. The lid in a hammered pattern over a pagoda-style rim. Found in the decorative art collection of Brooklyn Museum of Art. Just a beautifully made and designed covered urn from a time when such dear things were kept at the home and near the heart. less
