Kuba cloths are constructed of fine strips of raffia, knotted and cut, creating beautiful geometric patterns. Sometimes panels are stitched together to create long dance skirts worn by men during various ceremonies. This one is particularly special as it depicts the artist's humor, something not frequently found in tribal arts of this type. See less
