The award winning Bola chair was designed in 1988 by Ron Kemnitzer for Izzy+/Fixtures Furniture Company. Fixtures was known for their durable products targeted toward institutional customers (health care, education, corporate, government). This is an extremely fun chair (in a great color way) that is also comfortable and practical.
The seat is upholstered with 2” urethane foam over contoured molded plywood. The back is upholstered with 1” urethane foam over contoured molded plywood and 1/4” urethane foam on the back cover. The frame is made up of two rolled front legs and two fixed back legs of 1” x 16 gauge steel tubing that allows for stacking. The arms are epoxy finished to match the frame with molded plastic. The glides are molded nylon balls. less
