- Lovely antique petite easel back picture frame with an oval opening, perfect for a portrait. From the Art Deco era, … more Lovely antique petite easel back picture frame with an oval opening, perfect for a portrait. From the Art Deco era, circa 1910 and in excellent condition. Frame is made from celluloid, also commonly known as "French Ivory", which was a precursor to bakelite and catalin. Decorated with a delicately carved monogram, seems to be either an "A" or possibly "VA". Includes glass. Will hold a 2 5/8" x 3 5/8" photograph. Oval view area is 3" tall x 2" across. We note one faint spot of light discoloration at lower right on front, and a bit more on the easel backer, as shown in pictures. less
