Description: Lovely trio of French faience/creamware pictorial plates in very good condition with some signs of age including light wear around … more Lovely trio of French faience/creamware pictorial plates in very good condition with some signs of age including light wear around the edges, surface marks and hairline cracks. One of the military pictorial plates (with the 3 figures) has a crack on the back however, it doesn't go all the way through to the front nor does it in anyway affect the integrity of the plate. The other military pictorial plate has a light hairline crack along the basket weave rim which is visible on both the front and back. Again, this does not affect the integrity of the plate. Please be sure to review the photos. Each plate measures 7 1/2" in diameter. Both of the military pictorial plates appear to have been produced by the Northern French manufacturer Saint-Amand Les Eaux which was known for it's black scene transferware ( En Faience) on white ivory ironstone/ earthenware. The plates most likely date to the late 19th c. The 3rd plate is unmarked. less
