An exceptionally rare antique Native American / Indigenous Peoples hand carved and painted wooden dugout canoe model, dating to the early 20th century or earlier, likely Pacific Northwest.
The hand-crafted miniature scale rendering having an unusual elaborate design with twine tied partial raised gallery wooden top, the boat hull exterior features hand painted polychrome decoration with incised detail depicting a mirrored pair of red and green stylized fish/squid sea creature. circa 1900
