An exquisite original oil painting of docked boat on a tranquil lake shore, titled; "Betty's Wreck". Signed; Gretchen Dittler Williams, Benedict, & MD. The background shows a grassy field with trees in the distance and birds flying over a blue sky. Excluding the frame, the canvas is 18" x 24". Gretchen Kathryn Dittler Williams is somewhat of a ghost in the modern art world, having painted less than half a dozen pieces, all in oil on canvas. It seems this painting was a collaborative effort, as we see two other completely unknown artists' have signed their names with that of Gretchen Williams. Relatively rare, this painting may very well be the last of it's kind on the market!
