An earthenware faience large round serving bowl with lug handles, signed Henriot Quimper, France. The center shows the sujet ordinaire of a femme de la campagne, the French Breton region woman, standing between two shrubs, wearing the traditional dress of a yellow apron and holding a flower. The rim shows a wide sunshine yellow border over three concentric cobalt blue lines with a pair of lug handles, sponge glazed in cobalt blue.
