All hand chased thick copper body attached to a hand wrought iron chain
The attached holding hoops are also made from copper
Please notice the early technique of joining the copper sheets.
The double sided chain, the hook and the hoops are all original.
Intricate vasi-form, slightly hexagonal towards the base, very eye catching and decorative appeal
Circa late 1700's early 1800's, possibly made by Armenians in Ottoman Empire
It came in a pair with a larger one, listed separately.
Measurements: Approx. 21" with extended chain and hook, the pot only is 8.5" tall x 5.25" x 5" overall . Weighs about 1 lb. 8 oz.
Condition: Very Good overall. Some shallow dents here and there on the body, oxidation on the iron, commensurate with age and use that adds a lot to the character and uniqueness of this already rare piece. Very old repair on the body. Please see photos. All original. See less
