Description: We are selling this exceptional example of early Ancient Roman glass. This double glass vial flask, or alabastron for perfume, … more We are selling this exceptional example of early Ancient Roman glass. This double glass vial flask, or alabastron for perfume, has a stunning surface patina of iridescence on the pale green body. The iridescence has a rainbow color and parts of the glass that have oxidized heavily have a very attractive silver surface patina. The glass has additional glass threads on the exterior with some losses. This glass vase is one of many we have listed from a Connecticut Collection of Early Roman Glass.

Condition: Heavy signs of being oxidized and buried, some losses to the threading on the body. The vase also doesn't sit upright and would need a bespoke base to do so.
