The intricate heads appear to be made of a composite meant to look like antique terra-cotta. The base is a story composition meant to look like bronze. While the pieces appear to be identical, there are some slight variations -- one has more detailed "make up" while the other has less paint. Both heads are detachable from the base as shown. There is beautiful fine detail in the hair, features and earrings. See less
