Created in France during the 19th century, this terracotta sculpture charms us with its depiction of a deeply sleeping cupid, his head resting on his left arm while his right arm is holding his bow. Created after the marble of Toscan artist Giovacchino Fortini (1671-1739) who chose to represent cupid without his traditional wings, this 19th century terracotta figure with brown patina, melts our hearts with this peaceful scene and skillful execution, making it a exquisite decorative addition to any home!
