This is a matted original 1980's fashion design from a French designer, Drusy Passerini. Drusy was a “stylist modeliste” who designed for sportswear couturiers in Paris in the early 1980’s. Her designs were signed, named or numbered and all Drusy designs were registered in Parisian fashion registries. The sportswear designs were created and sold at the time in the fashion district in Paris in such houses as Patrick Viane and Saint-Clair. This design is for men's summer sportswear showcasing a textural pattern 3/4 sleeve sweater design. It is done in pen and ink and watercolor on fine white onion skin with original fastening to heavier white drawing paper. Both sheets are carefully affixed with small staples in the corners. The fashion design showcases stylized menswear for the casually chic man. Entitled "recif", ("reef") it is perfect for beach or coastal summer sportswear or crusise wear. Great summer style. Note the matching scarf and sunglasses too! This is a real find as original men's fashion drawings are indeed rare! Purchased by us in Paris from a collector who specializes in fashion drawings.
