Originally from Guerrero, Mexico, artist, Joaquin Dimayuga, is known for his depictions of everyday life in Mexico. He recently had a retrospective in the Mexican Legislative Congress Palace in Mexico City, honoring 6 decades of work. Painting is not only his vocation, but a style of life to which he's been fathfull since he left his coastal home in Guerrero more than a half century ago to pursue his dream in Mexico City. In additon to work in the Museum of Modern Art in the State of Mexico, his work is in many private collections in Mexico, Canada and Europe. See less
