I can only estimate as I do not have a standardized basket of bushel capacity against which to measure this basket's capacity but it is generous in size and impressive in appearance. This particular basket was used only to hold dried flower arrangements during our ownership and it served that purpose particularly well, but it is clearly designed for a generous amount of produce. I had considered employing it as an Easter basket one year when I was delivering a kitten to my wife, but quickly abandoned the idea because it somehow seemed cruel to put a kitten in it, even though it could have comfortably handled and entire litter of Maine Coon kittens. less
