This print Illustrates story of the first settlers of Taos Art Colony. A huge wagon wheel, with broken spoke, saw the beginnings of the art group which made fame for itself and is known as the Taos Art Colony today.
Dean Porter is a painter, printmaker, art historian, and director emeritus of the Snite Museum of Art at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. For the past two decades, he has traveled to Taos, New Mexico to paint.
