Internationally acclaimed artist Martina Niederhauser presents a new collection that offers fresh perspectives on women, delving into the realms of emotion, beauty, identity, and the intricate dynamics between their inner thoughts and outward expressions. By creating layered mixed media paintings, Niederhauser breathes new life into carefully selected papers, transforming them into enchanting works of art using gouache, acrylic, and oil paint on canvas. She seeks to share her large figurative works as a “diary written in colors” with communicative forms and conjunctive lines, expressing her personal experiences and the world she inhabits.
This unique 20-inch high by 16-inch wide original mixed media artwork on canvas is wired and ready to hang. The sides of this artwork are finished as a continuation of the front and it does not require framing. It is signed by the artist on the side and titled on the back. Born in 1977, Niederhauser embarked on a remarkable journey to become a full-time artist after traversing three continents and immersing herself in the corporate marketing world. With several successful years as an artist, including extended stays in Shanghai and Chicago, Niederhauser has now made Sarnen, Switzerland her artistic home.
Niederhauser's paintings have been acquired by numerous public, corporate, and private collections spanning the globe.
