This is a RARE, Hard-To-Find, VINTAGE, NEW, MINT Condition, Hand-Crafted, Signed/Marked, Dated “Large Ceramic Art Pottery Cream Gray Background With Stamped Pink Flowers And Olive-Green Leaves Spring Flower Design Glazed Scalloped Open Serving Vegetable Dish Bowl" made by Mountain Meadows Pottery in Vermont during the mid-1980s. Purchased during a trip to Vermont in 1986, this HANDSOMELY BEAUTIFUL Serving Dish Bowl has NEVER been used except for display. It is in MINT Condition with NO marks, stains, odors, chips, cracks, crazing or other damage; it comes from a smoke-free, pet-free home. This ORGANIC, MODERN serving Bowl Dish measures approximately 6 1/2 inches tall, approximately 8 inches wide and approximately 12 inches long; the base is incised Marked Signed “MPM de” inside a circle cartouche and Dated “Oct 1, 1986” - SEE Pictures.
With a sculpted shape, this hand crafted, hand-glazed ceramic pottery Serving Dish Bowl was well designed and will add a touch of Spring to any decor with its spray of tiny Pink Flowers and green leaves; a faint blue-gray band that accents the scalloped upper rim edge. It is a well made, balanced piece with nice proportions and effective, yet simple lines. The interior and sides have a shiny finish; the bottom is not glazed - SEE Pictures. Mountain Meadows Pottery was known in the 1980s for creating handmade Dutch inspired pottery that was functional, as well as attractive. Use it as a decorative complement accent in any room and on the table TOO! This serving Dish Bowl is a fine piece of artwork that is attractive enough for decorating but durable enough to be used. The design was called “Spring Flowers” and was made throughout the 1980s with each piece being dated; this design was retired in the early-1990s and is NO LONGER AVAILABLE, making this Bowl Dish a HIGHLY Collectible piece of usable Pottery Art that will be a delight for any home. A functional piece of pottery, the “Spring Flowers” design was VERY popular and came in many different styles - bowls, bells, vases, soap dishes and more. Large and practical with a bold design, this serving piece can be used daily. This Serving Dish Bowl is BEAUTIFUL to look at and safe to use with food as MPM only uses lead-free clay and glazes. The Spring Flowers design was stamped into the clay before this serving Dish Bowl was glazed with a creamy grey base color, Pink Flowers and Olive Green leaves. The floral sprays have etched vine stems and the Pink Buds and Olive Green Leaves are slightly raised. This is a finely designed, heavy piece that will give a life time of joy.
