This original matted advertisement print is for men's Eau Sauvage fragrance and after shave by Christian Dior. This print originally appeared in a French magazine from 1975. It had limited circulation as as advertisement print and is rare to find in excellent condition. The creative friendship between Christian Dior and the illustrator Rene Gruau was a collaboration which celebrated a special spirit that continued for many years, even after Dior’s death in 1957. The image has iconic Gruau elements of strong graphic styling and strong color. Signed by Gruau (by gentleman's foot) with his recognizable “g” initial. This whimsical image will make you smile. It is 8 x 10.5 inches in size. It is in excellent condition and comes matted in a neutral toned 16 x 20 inch custom inch that is ready for a standard size frame. Would make fabulous gift!
