Fine antique Baroque pewter tankard with twist fluted sides and hinged lid topped with a lion figurine. The tankard is embellished with floral engravings. On the inside bottom a flower medallion is mounted. The use of these medallions disappeared in the later part of the 18th century. This tankard originated in Austria-Hungary, a Monarchy in the 18th century. The tankard is in fine condition with typical wear overall. Slight break to the thumbpiece.
