Striking RORSTRAND low bowl designed by Gunnar Nylund. The glaze is Nylund's iconic "Owl's Feather". The bowl surface is textured. There is an underglaze that contributes to the "running" effect and enhances the texture and 3D appearance. It is incised on the bottom with the Rorstrand R and 3 crown, a G N for Gunnar Nylund, Sweden and the number 10. The bowl measures 7.25: diameter x 1.5" high. There is a slight scalloping to the edge that conforms to the sunburst design in the center. The gazing is a light brown and cream coloring.
A striking design by a most noted mid century Swedish ceramicist.
