- A group of three antique Chinese textiles, arranged and professionally matted and framed. The museum quality display includes two similar … more A group of three antique Chinese textiles, arranged and professionally matted and framed. The museum quality display includes two similar pouches symmetrically flanking a fan case, selected for their complementary shapes and similar color scheme. Numerous auspicious symbols embroidered in colored silk threads were included, such as clouds, Ruyi (the magic mushroom that symbolizes longevity), bamboo, coral, fan and peony etc. Peking stiches were used as the predominant technique, supplement with couching and even stitches. The textiles are dated to Qing dynasty, (19th century). It was purchased in Galerie Du Monde in Hong Kong. The label remains verso as shown. less
