Great 1995 set of four individual enamel on perspex art pieces of a dancing couple. Each piece is a little different and features a man and a woman dancing and are part of the set. Each individual art piece is signed and dated and also shows the edition number 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4. Please see photos. The title of the art piece is written on the back in Italian, unfortunately I am not able to read it. It might be " palcoscenico" which could be translated into English as "Stage".
From Marco Lodola's website: Born in 1955, after classical artistic studies, Lodola finds a way to bring together strong colors and solid colors, with futurist and pop formal simplification.
This is how his unmistakable style was born, inevitably influenced by his passion for the 50s and classic Italian icons, such as the Vespa, pin-ups and vintage cars.
Music, entertainment and society are the mirror of his art, which find their maximum exasperation in his famous light sculptures, the artist shapes plastic materials to his liking, inserts neon or LED lights inside and colors the outside., rigorously with pop colors and synthesized forms, his works were immediately an incredible success.
He was hired by Max Pezzali to design the cover of the famous 883 album, the years in which he created one of the works, which later became one of the most loved and sought after in contemporary art: "The Face of the Others", a series of anonymous faces colors taken from above that form a concentric circle, a symbol of mass conformism that began its climb in the 1980s.
There were many collaborations with the world of entertainment, we remember for example the Timoria, Ron, Gianluca Grignani and other big names in the show that inevitably finds its aesthetic transposition perfectly compatible with the light representations of Marco Lodola.
In fact, he was called to create the sets for renowned Italian films, television programs and also for the seventh edition of X Factor, the famous musical talent that was illuminated with a new artistic light thanks to his sculptures.
The numerous television and musical appearances accompany the now acclaimed multiple exhibitions, museums, galleries and artistic events that decree a constant certainty in the contemporary art market, qualifying him as one of the most sought after and quoted Italian artists. less
