This original study of hands and feet was created on stretched linen in oils. Painted in grisaille or gray scale on a warm umber toned linen canvas. This was created from life, with the artist and sitter in the room together, in the long tradition of figure studies. Sarah Burns teaches painting and anatomy to artists in her Southern Oregon.
Framed in walnut, stained a dark warm blackish brown. The frame was created by fine furniture craftsman Jens Sehm.
Made from the best materials with durability in mind, this piece will last beautifully for generations. less
