Appropriately, on the cover is Punchinello, the magazines namesake, the Classic black-masked figure from the commedia dell’arte with his long crimson nose and hunched back. Realier-Dumas, an academic painter and prominent in the prestigious Societe des Artistes Francais, created a unique style perfectly suited for posters. less
